JULIANA FRAIOLI SINGS ON LOCAL TV WITH HER BROTHER ALEX!

Rhode Island Singer Sings with a Soulful Flair Since She Was 2!

Rhode Island Singer Juliana Fraioli gave a most fantastic interview with questions I asked her. So read on and see what it takes to be a soulful singer most of her life. Juliana knows how to play or sing a fantastic melody, like whistling a happy tune, so simple, yet very deep. This girl is an original and has an original fresh sound coming out of those pipes.

She was born in Rhode Island and Juliana Fraioli has totally adored and loved to sing and play music since she was very young, maybe 2 or 3 years old. Her parents confirmed this and let her take all sorts of paths to stardom that sticks with her to this day. She loved and still adores Etta James, Dusty Springfield and old female singers, even Maria Callus the opera singer, and the songs her parents introduced her to when she was a little girl. But when she sings you see the influence of Jewel and Peggy Lee. That rolls into one thing for her, she's a darn good singer and loves it to the core.

But who is this woman, this wonderfully fresh sounding musical wonder. Why it's Juliana Fraioli and her special brand that is all her own. It's everything all rolled into one thing... the girl's got soul and her tunes are catchy and happy. When she takes to the highway with her band, she puts her whole 1,000 percent into singing. It's not easy being on the road either. This sweet sounding bird is going to go far in the industry. You can tell by the answers to the questions I asked her to answer for this article. But first I wanted you all to know that on stage this ginger Juliana Fraoli can come off as pop, folk, sweet, but a slight scent of sexy attached to her.

Now for her Interview: Enjoy her honesty and humble attitude.

1. What does singing and making music mean to you from your heart and soul. Its it a feeling or an all encompassing thing?

It feels great when I sing, and when I'm singing a song that I've written and I am proud of, it feels that much better. I'd definitely say it's all encompassing because it affects the way I feel both physically and emotionally.

2. What influenced you to get into music and why do you keep doing it?

Music is in my family-- my father's a great classical guitarist and my mother is a wonderful singer- so I grew up with music all around me. It came so naturally and I enjoyed playing and writing it so much that I knew I wanted to make a career out of it.

3. Can you see yourself winning a Grammy, being well known worldwide, or are you happy with your popularity, so you have a PR person? Manager? What's the best thing to do ... by yourself or with a manager behind you?

I would love to win a Grammy! To be known and respected worldwide for my talent and songs would be amazing.

4. Who do you see yourself as, meaning, do you see your self as a Lady Gaga, or Britney Spears, or Taylor Swift, who can you compare yourself to who is already out there and known?

I really do not see myself as anyone who is already out there. I've been influenced by a variety of artists (Fiona Apple, Gwen Stefani, Sarah McLaughlin, my MOTHER! in one way or another, but there's not one person whom I would solely compare myself to.

5. What drives you to sing and do your music? If you could not do the music, what would you do? Is music your life? Or your life's blood?

Definitely my life's blood. Music is in my blood and because I am so passionate about it, it makes it easy to focus on. The drive is there and the return I get from working hard at it makes it all worth while. I'm not sure what my 2nd choice career would be... I love to write, even if it's not writing music. I also studied both acting and psychology in college and both professions also intrigue me.

That's how it's done, and how Juliana does things! From that small interview, you can see clearly that this woman is up and atom every single moment of her life, even in her dreams. She'll grab the microphone and do her singing and people are taken with her right away. We found out what drives this woman to continue doing her music and reaching for the silver star, or gold universe. I imagine her parents had the credit in getting this butterfly started from the nest. Her family are all musicians. Her mother is a singer, her father a guitar player, even her brother is in on the game as you see in the video. It all probably was embedded in her brain when she was a baby and her mother might have sung to her some old tune, some soothing words, whispering the lyrics to make Juliana sleep like the cute baby she is and was.

When a child is gifted as Juliana is and was, the family will help her on her way by offering to pay for music lessons and the like. That will get their girl on the yellow brick road to stardom and popularity, so instilled early in life for some. Fraioli plays flute, piano, violin and even guitar, plus singing lessons. But what put the full idea of a music career into Juliana was the fact that her parents sometimes took her with them when they went on tour, which is a real treat for any little girl that wants to sing and have a career as Juliana wanted. When she was little she heard music in many languages and that made the singer very eclectic and different than your run of the mill warbler.

Lucky Mr. and Mrs. Fraioli had very little trouble with Juliana. All she wanted to do was her music and sing her little heart out to her parents delight. Talent and stardom may await her, so she was never pushed or told to sing, she just did it. Even as a child, Juliana loved the stage and all it's gifts. When someone handed her a mic, she was on her feet and singing. Soon, she grew up and started singing professionally, even putting out a few music videos for MTV, and gigs galore of course. Sh loved to entertain people. It could be 2 people, or 1,000 or more, and her feelings were always with her music.

Juliana will take the stage and make it all look like a simple thing. But it is not easy nor simple. Not by a long shot. To be great when you have talent made Juliana work harder than most musicians. Rehearsing and practicing would get everything right, and is a comfort. Each new gig she plays will make her that much better. She just wants to keep things going and make her mark in the industry, which she will and is. Check her out on the net, iTunes or even live if you are ever in her area.

Juliana Fraioli has a fantastic singing voice and I'm sure that she will soon be a household name. I enjoyed the video. Don't know about you, but it is refreshing to hear some new talent rather than the usual already famous ones hitting our screens all the time.
